Polarized Filters
Top of the line Yellow tinted polarized filters were chosen to form
the rectangular panel to ensure optimum day light clarity. These lenses
were designed to simulate the eye of the eagle (sharpens vision). These
lenses eliminate 100 % Uv rays up to 400 nm.
The other tinted polarized filter is chosen specifically to eliminate 96%
of the blue rays of the sun so as to conform with the colour requirements
of the traffic police regulation governing traffic lights. On their own they
do not provide the same degree of clarity as the Yellow filter.
Overlapping these 2 polarized lenses produces a seamless and variable
intensity of tint that can reduce the sun to a dull orange disc and subdue
various intensities of reflected suns rays, while providing optimum visibility
Both these panels were chosen in cognizance of the advice from the
‘American Optometric Association (AoA)’ that recommended that the eye
should be protected from Uv as well as Blue rays.
